Lindsey Kircher is a Chicago-based artist and arts educator. She graduated with an MFA in Drawing and Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2023 and she earned a BFA in Drawing and Painting from Penn State University in 2019. Lindsey has exhibited her work in Chicago, New York City, London, and Italy. Her work has been featured in New American Paintings, Metal Magazine, ArtMaze Magazine, and White Hot Magazine. Lindsey attended Yale Norfolk School of Art in 2018. She has been an artist in residence at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, the Atlantic Center for the Arts and Open Wabi Residency.
Lindsey has been an arts educator since 2018, working with adults and children in schools, museums, and other arts institutions. She is currently the Visual Art Instructor for children ages 5 -14 at Near North Montessori School. Lindsey has worked in Education Programs at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Phillips Collection in Washington DC, designing and leading tours and programs for children and adults. She has also been a professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago since 2023, teaching painting and drawing classes to high school students and undergraduates. In her teaching practice, Lindsey connects students to important works from art history, teaches students fundamental drawing and painting techniques, and empowers students to express their unique creative voice.
